Thanks for your response Maram. I don’t presume to speak for Arab citizens in Israel and accept that there may be surveys showing how most now identify as Palestinian. I’ve read data suggesting otherwise as recently as 2020. My intent was not to erase your history or speak for you, but to show a foreign audience that Palestinian Arabs are not treated as a monolithic group from a legal perspective, which is what would be expected of an apartheid state.

I also accept that there are multi-religious Arab towns in Israel, but most are not. For an US-based reader where there is no such thing as town populated by a single ethnic or religious group, it is still informative. I too hope for peace, coexistence and much better days.
